Prague Castle

is a castle where the Czech kings, Holy Roman Emperors and presidents of Czechoslovakia and the Czech Republic have had their offices. The history of the castle stretches back to the 9th century when the first walled building was built. During the old age the castle was the palace of many Kings. In the year 1918 the castle became the seat of the president of the new Czechoslovak Republic. After Czechoslovakia split into the Czech Republic and Slovakia, the castle became the seat of the Head of State of the new Czech Republic.

Charles Bridge

was started to build in 1357 under the auspices of King Charles IV, and finished in the beginning of 15th century This bridge is a famous historical and crosses the Vltava river. The bridge is decorated by a 30 statues and statuaries. The bridge is 516 meters long and almost 10 meters wide. It is protected by three bridge towers, two of them on the Lesser Quarter side and the third one on the Old Town side. Many people use the bridge for walking through the Prague, to the Prague Castle.

is is a historic square in the Prague Old Town and it is not far from the Wenceslas Square and the Charles Bridge. On the square is two churce gothic Týn Cathedral and baroque St. Nicholas Church. Next important building is Old Prague council building with a tower is the Astronomical Clock. There is a statue of a Jan Hus Memorial famous Czech person. People here celebrater, New Year, meet each other and have here holiday markets. On occasion, hockey and football (soccer) games are shown on huge screens, drawing large crowds of fans.

The 65m tall Powder Tower is the gateway to the Celetná Street which leads through the Old Town. The gothic Powder Tower was built in 1475 during the reign of King Vladislav II. In the 1990s the Powder Tower, was beautifully renovated. The Powder Tower is located at the edge of Old Town), right next to the Municipal House.
