The most used kind of public transport is Metro and it have three line. The green line is called „A“ and start at the station „Dejvicka“ and finish at the station „Depo Hostivar“. This line is the shortest one, and the Prague council have the idea to build new part to connect the Prague airport. But this is just plane on the paper. This green line is used by many tourists to travel from city center(Mustek, Museum) to Prague Castle (Hradcanska) or back.

The yellow line is called „B“ and it is the longest one. The „B“ line start with the station „Zlicin“ and finish with the station „Cerny Most“.  Both endstation are on the end of Prague, „Zlicin“ is near to the highway to city Plzen and „Cerny Most“ to “Hradec Kralove“. On this line at the station Vysocanska is the O2 Arena (before called Sazka Arena) the bigest ice hockey stadium.

The most used red line is called „C„. This metro is going in the day peak when all people travel to work, every minute. This line start at end-station „Háje“ and finish at “Letnany“. This is the oldest one metro in Prague, one part of this line was the first built in Prague.

Tramway (street line)

Tramway is used by many people, but is slowly them Metro, because there are more stops and the tramway share the traffic with cars and bus. Bus it is good for tourists, it is on the road and you could see the surround. The numbers of tramway start with 1 and finish with 40 for day streetline and 50 – 60 for night lines.

Bus

Bus is not often used by tourists, because there are few buses in the centre of city. Many buses are connecting the Metro with surrounding towns. The buses are often connecting the small towns around out of the Prague to the Metro. The numbers of buses are from 100 to 299 for  city buses and 300 – 500 for buses which are going outside of city.

You could buy tickets in different places. In the tabaco, at the ticket-machine, in the special shops (small window in some metro stops), at Post and with SMS. Sometimes you can buy tickets in the bus.
